On Monday, Feb. 1, at approximately 5:52 p.m., the Southington Police Department received a call that two hikers had become lost on the Blue Trail at the end of the Panthorn Trail. Officers found that two female hikers (aged 15 and 26) on the Blue Trail were not carrying flashlights. As as they began to walk back to their vehicle, it became dark, so they called 911 for assistance.
Southington police hiked up the trail, and they were able to locate the hikers to guide them back to their vehicle. No one was injured. No further assistance was needed.
