As a result of a June 2015 investigation, Southington police arrested a local man for selling and distributing cocaine and heroine.
The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) received a tip in June that Dominic M. Cardinale, 36, of Southington was selling cocaine and heroin in town. Based on this information, three separate controlled purchases were made from Cardinale. As a result of the investigation, three arrest warrants were issued by Bristol Superior Court.
Cardinale turned himself into police at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 9 after being informed of the active arrest warrants. He was processed and charged with selling certain heroin and two counts of selling cocaine. Each warrant had a $75,000 bond attached ($225,000 total).
Cardinale is scheduled to appear in Bristol Court on Feb. 9. The warrants were sealed at the time of the arrest, and no further details will be released.
