Two Wolcott residents were arrested for allegedly embezzling money from Computer Tune and Lube.
Holly Miner, 32, and her boyfriend David Pinto, 36, surrendered to police on Wednesday, Dec. 11, after learning that there were warrants for their arrests.
According to police, Miner was embezzling money from Computer Tune and Lube on Queen Street in Southington. Miner was employed by Computer Tune and Lube as a book keeper from July 2012 until June 2013. Holly Miner was terminated from the company after book keeping discrepancies were found.
During that time frame, Miner allegedly provided herself with unauthorized pay raises and bonuses. Miner also allegedly made unauthorized purchases of auto parts using the company’s credit card.
According to police, Pinto was a beneficiary of Miner’s embezzled funds. Miner embezzled approximately $25, 274.29 over a seven month period between December 2012 and June 2013.
Miner was charged with first degree larceny, conspiracy to commit first degree larceny, three counts of forgery in the second degree and two counts of illegal use of a credit card. She was released on a $10,000 non-surety bond with a Dec. 23 court date.
Pinto was charged with criminal liability for acts of another, first degree larceny and conspiracy to commit first degree larceny. He was released on a $10,000 non-surety bond with a Dec. 23 court date.
