Two Waterbury men were held on narcotics charges after they intentionally drove into a marked police cruiser at a gas station.

, 27 and Sean Wright, 29, both of Waterbury, after investigating a report of an erratic driver on Tuesday, April 1.
According to police, the erratic driving began on I-84, continued to the TA Travel Center and ended at the Fleet Gas Station. Ruberte allegedly drove his car into the side of a marked Southington police car when officers arrived on the scene.
Police were able to stop the vehicle and a K-9 unit found crack cocaine in the vehicle.
The police car sustained minor damage and the officer in the car was not injured.
Ruberte was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, interfering with an officer, first degree criminal mischief, DUI, reckless driving, operating under suspension and disobeying an officer’s signal. He was released on a $50,000 bond with an April 14 court date.
Wright, the passenger in Ruberte’s vehicle, was charged with possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics with intent to sell. He was released on a $5,000 bond with an April 14 court date.
