After multiple inspections from town inspectors, a Plantsville resident was issued an infraction on Aug. 25 for her unsightly property. Jode Cirillo, 52, was cited for violating the town’s blight ordinance.
Southington police received a letter from the Southington Zoning Enforcement officer which stated that the property located at 777 Old Turnpike Road is considered blighted after multiple inspections from May 6, 2015 to July 28, 2016 showed there were unsightly materials on the property. The letter stated that the property owner was delivered a notice of violation for blight by a Connecticut state marshal on May 28, 2015, and the issues have not been remedied. Cirillo owns the property.
